NIST released the Final publication of NIST 800-53, Rev 4, “Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.” Here is a link to the document:

According to the Foreward, “NIST Special Publication 800-53, Revision 4, represents the most comprehensive update to the security controls catalog since its inception in 2005.” For those of you who have been following the transformation initiative, I think this update is significant. I do not know when the accompanying NIST 800-53A will be released.
